Platinum Ingots can be used to create Platinum tools, which are similar to diamond ones in mining speed, but have a only have durability of 500 (700 in the case of the Paxel). The if the appropriate tool is used, a full set can can mine all ores, blocks, and machines except obsidian. The sword will always deal 4 hearts of damage, regardless of a critical hit or not.
