Everybody hates Endermen. So imagine the look of horror on their face when you detonate an explosive that releases ten Endermen at once! Not only that, it sucks all other entities into the End, so they must face the black dread-the Enderdragon. This explosive acts as a portal-it tears a hole in the fabric of space and time, generates an attractive field, sucks nearby players and entities into the End, and releases ten or so Endermen in their place.
