The rocket launcher is a handheld device that's used to fire explosive projectiles. It can only fire Tier 1 and Tier 2 missiles, and fires them only in a straight line. Note that while Homing Missiles and Cluster Missiles are Tier 2, they can't be fired from the rocket launcher.
For long distances, the rocket launcher is not suitable and the Missile Launcher should be used instead.
The rocket launcher, when fully charged, holds 100 kJ of energy. Firing a missile uses 5 kJ (kilojoules) to fire: as such, the rocket launcher can fire 20 missiles before needing a recharge. The launcher does not break, and will always remain in the player's inventory after depleting its charge.
Missiles can be fired from the player's inventory: they need not be equipped on the hotbar.
To fire the missile, aim at an entity, like this pig, and hit the Right Mouse button.
Decimate the target.
